Bluebells in an enchanted forest...

It's officially Fall in the UK, the air is crisp and cool, the days seem to get shorter really quickly and all I can think of is spring as I'm sure looking forward to see flowers blooming once again!

One of my favourite sights are the fields of bluebells that appear around April and May.

I feel as though I'm walking through an enchanted forest, waiting for my Prince Charming to ride by on his white horse and whisk me off into the sunset but no, the hubby was also busy taking photos so that didn't happen. :P However, it's nice to just dream about it right?

When walking through fields of bluebells, be sure to keep a lookout(or keep your noses wide open) for wild garlic as they are known to grow nearby. I haven't yet encountered any but i look forward to do so next year!

Bleeding Hearts Flowers

It's summer now in the UK and yes, it feels like summer right now. For the uninitiated, summer in the UK can often be much cooler, wet and gloomy so when the sun is out, everyone's very happy! However, I prefer cooler weather even though I come from Singapore where it's always hot! haha
So Springtime has got to be my favourite season as it is cooler and I love it when the plants start to sprout again...the change of the landscape from being dull and gloomy to one of freshness and colour!!
I especially love spotting flowers I've never seen before and one of my absolute fave is the Bleeding Hearts. A very sad name I know but all it's other names like Venus's car, Lady in a bath and Dutchman's trousers still don't do this beautiful flower any justice.

I was very blessed to have found these in the garden of my old place as that was the 1st time I've seem such a beautiful little thing. Don't you agree that they are just so lovely??
